Breaking Free: Defiance Film Festival Promotional Content
For my Advanced Design Practices class, I developed a potential film festival called Breaking Free: Defiance Film Festival. This annual event showcases thought-provoking films that spotlight defiance against oppressive systems and highlight the human’s spirit for unyielding quest for freedom. The centerpiece of this year's festival is One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, a film that brilliantly critiques the control and abuse of power within a mental institution. Furthermore, the festival will feature keynote speakers like Allan Frances, the former chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Duke University, to create conversation surrounding topics in the films. The festival targets a broad demographic of socially conscious moviegoers aged 25 to 55, particularly those with an interest in films that challenge societal norms and delve into the complexities of personal and institutional freedom.
